The pharmacy serves approximately 700 monthly patients, most of whom are without health insurance or cannot otherwise afford the medication. Eighty-seven percent of the pharmacy’s medications are supplied through donations from local healthcare and drug companies; the rest are purchased by the pharmacy.
The pharmacy opened in 2006. In the first year, it filled about 7,000 prescriptions. In 2021, it filled 70,000, the report said.
