5 things to know about GoHealth, an online insurance marketplace that filed for a $100M IPO

On June 19, GoHealth filed to raise $100 million in an initial public offering with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Here are five things to know about GoHealth:

1. Chicago-based GoHealth is an online insurance marketplace formed in 2001.

2. GoHealth was co-founded by Brandon Cruz and Clint Jones.

3. In 2019, about 10 percent of customers who selected a Medicare Advantage plan did so through GoHealth.

4. In the same year, 2 million Americans shopped for a health plan through GoHealth. The company is on track to double its number of users in 2020.

5. The marketplace partners with some of the nation’s largest commercial payers, including UnitedHealthcare, Anthem, Humana and Cigna.
