Charges included in the indictment include numerous counts of second-degree murder, racketeering, conspiracy and mail fraud, although not all defendants are accused of each count.
Among the 14 Massachusetts compounding pharmacy employees arrested were three members of the family whose business empire included the pharmacy and the brother-in-law and pharmacy owner, Barry Cadden.
The head pharmacist of the company Glenn Adam Chin was also named in the indictment. He was already arrested in September and charged with one count of mail fraud but the more recent indictment also charges Mr. Chin with racketeering and second-degree murder in seven states.
