Switzerland-based Sophia Genetics, a big data analytics company, raised $30 million in its latest round of funding, led by London-based Balderton Capital, according to Venture Beat.
Sophia Genetics provides hospitals with an AI platform that learns from patients' genomic profiles to improve diagnosis across a multitude of specialties, including oncology, cardiology and pediatrics. Recently, it raised around $30 million in a separate funding effort.
The company's AI technology is being used by more than 300 hospitals in 53 countries.
