Within the healthcare industry, hospital employment grew the most, by 8,700 jobs in March. Next was ambulatory healthcare services, which added 6,800 jobs last month.
Healthcare added an average of 20,000 jobs per month in the first three months of 2017, compared with an average monthly gain of 32,000 last year, according to the BLS.
