The property, known as the Eighth Street Campus of United Regional Health Care Systems, will be sold to McDonnell, which specializes in senior healthcare facilities.
The county and Wichita Falls jointly own the hospital and leased the building to United Regional. The county and city will provide $500,000 in incentives to the buyer, and United Regional will fund demolition of the oldest part of the building. The county and city expect to net $1.7 million from the sale.
