Under the agreement, United Hospital System will operate under the Froedtert South brand. However, signage at the health system’s hospitals will read “Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin,” along with the appropriate hospital’s name. Staff uniforms and the health system’s contracts with various suppliers will also be re-defined to reflect the change in branding.
The former United Hospital System will also transition its current EHR system to Epic to further align with Froedtert. Officials expect to complete the transition in fall 2018.
The organizations initially revealed plans to affiliate in April. The transaction is expected to be completed Oct. 1, officials told the Kenosha News.
