UCLA Health, AccentCare form joint home health venture

UCLA Health in Los Angeles and Dallas-based AccentCare inked an agreement Aug. 7 to form a jointly owned home health services agency.

The agency will provide a “comprehensive continuum of care” to patients following discharge to improve safety and promote faster healing.

Under the agreement, UCLA Health will provide clinical oversight of the agency’s post-acute care services, while AccentCare will provide daily operational management functions, including patient intake, staffing and the provision of home health services like physical therapy and skilled nursing.

The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
