Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health has signed an agreement to acquire Las Vegas-based Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging.

The outpatient radiology imaging company has 12 locations across the Las Vegas Valley, according to an Oct. 30 Intermountain news release. The integration will take place sometime after Jan. 1, 2026, and will be introduced in phases.

“This decision to bring SDMI to Intermountain aligns with our proactive care model in that it will allow us to provide more coordinated and integrated imaging services for patients,” said Eric Liston, Intermountain’s chief clinical shared services officer. “As the number of people with chronic and complex health conditions continues to grow, ease of access to high-quality imaging services is more important than ever.”

SDMI has more than 550 affiliated or employed radiologists, technologists and staff who are trained in more than 2,000 procedures, ranging from screening mammograms to port placements for chemotherapy, according to the release.

Intermountain currently offers care at more than 80 clinics in southern Nevada and is expected to break ground on the state’s first freestanding children’s hospital next year.
