HCA completes purchase of bankrupt Texas hospital

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Holdings has completed its acquisition of Forest Park Medical Center – Frisco (Texas) from Sabra Health Care REIT.

Part of Dallas-based Forest Park Medical’s Center’s network of physician-owned facilities, the hospital filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last September.

HCA inked a deal to purchase Forest Park Medical Center – Frisco in January. With the transaction complete, the 54-bed hospital is now named Medical City Frisco and part of Irvine-based HCA North Texas.

Medical City Frisco is the 13th HCA hospital in the Dallas-Forth Worth area.
