Hackensack Meridian Health, Carrier Clinic explore partnership

Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health and Carrier Clinic, a behavioral health provider based in Belle Mead, N.J., signed a letter of intent March 15 to explore a partnership that seeks to expand behavioral healthcare in the region.

The letter of intent marks the start of the process to create a system with 24-hour access to behavioral health care in an outpatient, urgent care and inpatient setting.

“We are thrilled to announce this strategy to deliver exceptional clinical expertise and to demonstrate a new model of high-quality, evidenced-based care,” said Robert Garrett, Co-CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health. “It continues our commitment to fully integrate behavioral health into our network for the benefit of our patients.”
