The planned partnership between Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth and Estes Park (Colo.) Health was finalized Nov. 10 after the Larimer County board of commissioners signed off on Park Hospital District’s amended service plan to move it forward.
Estes Park Health and its employees will join UCHealth Dec. 1, according to a Nov. 10 news release.
Under the partnership, UCHealth will assume $10 million in Estes Park Health’s long-term debt, and will dedicate at least $20 million in routine maintenance and capital projects to the facility over 10 years.
Park Hospital District, which operates Estes Park Health, signed a letter of intent with UCHealth in October 2024 for the critical access hospital to join the system. Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser approved the partnership in late September 2025.
