Officials said the RFPs will go out to prospective operators, who will then visit Claiborne County Hospital to determine if they want to run the hospital under a lease or sale, according to the report.
The hospital’s board plans on reviewing the RFPs this June. Previously, executives at Knoxville, Tenn.-based Covenant Health sent a letter to the board expressing interest in running the hospital, though no word was given on Covenant’s offer.
