Billionaire Tilman Fertitta, CEO of Fertitta Entertainment, has the answer, according to CNBC.
“Let me just say this: God gave me a gift of understanding business, but if God didn’t give you that gift and you want to be an entrepreneur and you want to be a business person, go get your MBA,” he said, according to the report.
In other words, it’s all about your skill level, according to Mr. Fertitta. If you’re considering an MBA but know you’ve got a flair for business, “Don’t worry about it,” he said.
And if your undergraduate degree wasn’t in business? Getting an MBA could provide additional know-how. “[I] don’t even care if you major[ed] in business and finance, you just don’t get a grasp of the problems and the experience unless you get your master’s,” said Mr. Fertitta, according to CNBC.
According to HoustonPoliceFoundation.org, Mr. Fertitta attended Lubbock-based Texas Tech University and the University of Houston. Forbes claims he dropped out of both institutions.
