Roger Rhodes has been named COO of WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals, part of Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine.
He joined Thomas Hospitals in September 2023 and has overseen operational areas including respiratory care, imaging, environmental services and pharmacy, according to a July 16 health system news release. He has also served as interim COO and administrator at Thomas Orthopedic Hospital in Charleston, W.Va.
WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals includes Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, W.Va., and Thomas Orthopedic Hospital.
Mr. Rhodes previously served as CEO of Baylor Surgical Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
He succeeds Leslie Lawson, who was named president of WVU Medicine Summersville (W.Va.) Regional Medical Center and WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital in Gassaway, W.Va., in March.
