York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health has appointed Keith Smith as chief legal officer.
Mr. Smith will lead the system’s office of general counsel, overseeing legal strategy, corporate governance and insurance programs, according to a Sept. 15 health system news release. He joined WellSpan in 2022 as vice president and deputy general counsel.
Mr. Smith previously spent 22 years with Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health, where he held multiple leadership roles, including executive vice president and general counsel. He also practiced at Moore & Van Allen, advising healthcare clients on compliance, governance and risk.
