Mr. Bhagat, who took the reins Aug. 22, replaces Ajay Waghray, who was offered the chief technology officer position at New York-based Assurant.
From January 2013 to February 2016, Mr. Bhagat served as CIO of Hopkinton, Mass.-based EMC, a computer data storage company Before taking the position at EMC, he was at GE for 20 years, where he served in the CIO role for various divisions of the company.
