Donna Katen-Bahensky will retire from her role as president and CEO Sept. 1. When she announced her retirement, Ms. Katen-Bahensky noted that the president and CEO position would be eliminated after her retirement due to restructuring.

David Walsh, chairman of the UW Hospital board, said the hospital needs leadership during planning for the restructuring, which is why an interim CEO was named.
