Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Health has named Sonney Sapra as its new CIO, effective Jan. 26.
In this role, Mr. Sapra will oversee the health system’s strategic direction and operational guidance for its information and digital systems, according to a Dec. 22 news release.
Prior to this, Mr. Sapra served as senior vice president and chief digital and information officer of Corvallis, Ore.-based Samaritan Health Services and Health Plan.
