Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health has appointed Jenni Friedly, BSN, chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Three things to know:
1. Ms. Friedly most recently served as market president of UnityPoint Health-Waterloo (Iowa) and brings 16 years of operational leadership experience within the system. In her new role, she will oversee collaboration across UnityPoint’s markets with a focus on improving care quality, expanding access and strengthening financial performance.
2. Ms. Friedly is a graduate of UnityPoint Health’s Executive Leadership Academy and has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees in the Cedar Valley. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Upper Iowa University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Allen College in Waterloo.
3. Carolyn Barko will serve as interim market president for UnityPoint Health-Waterloo while the system conducts a search for a permanent successor.
