UChicago Medicine has named Chris Allen executive vice president and health system CFO, effective Sept. 1.
Mr. Allen joins the health system from Los Angeles-based Keck Medicine of USC, where he has served as CFO since 2023.
“Chris’ appointment reflects our rapid growth and the increasing complexity of managing an integrated academic health system, particularly as we pursue the strategic initiatives outlined in our Elevate 2035 vision,” Tom Jackiewicz, president of the University of Chicago Health System and the University of Chicago Medical Center, said in a June 13 news release.
Mr. Allen previously served as CFO of Adventist Health Glendale (Calif.) and held senior finance roles at Orange, Calif.-based UC Irvine Health. He returns to UChicago Medicine after working for the system — then known as the University of Chicago Hospitals — earlier in his career.
