Marilyn Schock will retire as president of UCHealth Greeley (Colo.) Hospital in February after a 40-year career in healthcare.
Ms. Schock joined Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth in 2014 and was later selected to lead the design and development of Greeley Hospital, which opened in July 2019, according to a Nov. 5 health system news release. At the time of its opening, the hospital had approximately 400 employees and a growing base of physicians and advanced practice providers.
In fiscal year 2025, staff and providers at the Greeley campus reported nearly 9,000 admissions and observation visits, 43,000 emergency room visits, nearly 200,000 outpatient visits and 764 births.
Under Ms. Schock’s leadership, the hospital increased its licensed bed count by more than 70%, growing from 51 to 88 beds. Key projects included a 12-bed progressive care unit, a 20-bed acute care unit, three ICU beds and two additional birth center beds. The facility also expanded surgical and trauma services and began construction on an emergency department expansion that will add nine exam rooms and three intake rooms by summer 2026.
