Two Physicians Named Presidents of Cleveland Clinic Hospitals

Cleveland Clinic officials have announced the promotion of two physician executives to lead as presidents for Lakewood (Ohio) Hospital and Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland, beginning Jan. 1, 2012, according to a health system release.

Brian Donley, MD, senior vice president of surgical operations at Lutheran Hospital, will assume the presidency of Lutheran Hospital; and Robert Weil, MD, senior vice president of surgical operations at Lakewood Hospital, will become the new president of Lakewood Hospital.

Currently, Janice Murphy, RN, serves as president of both Fairview and Lakewood hospitals. Ms. Murphy will remain president of Fairview Hospital after the management transition. Lutheran Hospital is currently led by Mary Kennedy, RN, who is serving as interim president. Kennedy will return to her position as CNO for Lutheran Hospital in January.
