Celeste Brizzee, DNP, RN, was named chief nursing officer of Summerville (S.C.) Medical Center, a Trident Health hospital, The Summerville Journal Scene reported July 20.
Dr. Brizzee will step into her new role Aug. 18. She most recently served as CNO at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, Ga., and has spent more than 20 years in healthcare leadership mainly at HCA Healthcare facilities.
Dr. Brizzee will replace Kathy Podorsek, administrative director of nursing, who has been serving as interim CNO.
