Odessa, Texas-based Medical Center Health System named Timothy Benton, MD, chief medical officer.
Dr. Benton steps into the role on April 14. Most recently he served as regional chair of the department of family and community medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Permian Basin in Odessa, where he focused on the residency program and patient care, according to an April 12 system Facebook post.
“We are beyond thrilled to have someone of Dr. Benton’s stature join our team as CMO,” Russell Tippin, president and CEO of Medical Center Health System, said in the post. “He has been an incredible partner with us during his time at Texas Tech and we look forward to having his leadership as we navigate into the future of healthcare.”
