Texas hospital taps chief nurse

Austin, Texas-based St. David’s Medical Center has appointed Charles McCoy, MSN, as chief nursing officer.

Mr. McCoy stepped into the role June 2, succeeding Lynn O’Neil, who recently retired. He most recently served as CNO of Heart Hospital of Austin, part of St. David’s HealthCare, according to a June 10 news release.

He first joined the system as a registered nurse in 2005 and was named assistant CNO of St. David’s Medical Center in 2018. 

St. David’s HealthCare is jointly owned by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare and two nonprofit foundations.
