Waco, Texas-based Ascension Providence has appointed Katie Scott, MSN, RN, as COO, effective Dec. 8.
Ms. Scott has served as interim COO since August, according to a Dec. 3 LinkedIn post from Philip Patterson, market president of Ascension Providence. She previously served as interim COO of Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas in Austin while serving as chief nursing officer.
In the permanent role, Ms. Scott will help lead efforts to improve operations and physician and associate engagement.
Ascension Providence, part of St. Louis-based Ascension, includes a hospital, two express care locations and an emergency room.
