Tennessee hospital names chief medical officer

Nashville General Hospital has named DeAnn Bullock, MD, chief medical officer, effective April 1. 

The leadership appointment marks Dr. Bullock’s return to the CMO role. She previously served as CMO at the hospital from 1999 to 2022. Most recently, she served as medical director for the emergency department, according to a news release sent to local news outlets. 

Nashville General Hospital is a 150-bed safety net hospital and serves as the primary teaching hospital for Meharry Medical College.
