1. Most recently, Mr. Simpson served as COO of The Medical Center of Aurora (Colo.), a 346-bed HCA/HealthONE facility.
2. Prior to that, he was COO/administrator of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
3. He holds an MBA and a master’s in health administration from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
4. At Swedish, Mr. Simpson will oversee operations and growth for the hospital and its two freestanding emergency rooms.
