St. Mary’s Health System appoints René Dumont first chief patient experience officer

St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston, Maine, has tapped René Dumont as its first chief patient experience officer, according to a Bangor Daily News report.

Mr. Dumont has served in various leadership roles at St. Mary’s Health System and its parent, Tewksbury, Mass.-based Covenant Health.

He holds an MBA from Boston University.

In his new role, Mr. Dumont will oversee strategies to improve patient and family experience at St. Mary’s and will focus on furthering the work of the Albert Lepage Center for Patient Experience at the health system.
