SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital president to retire

Mike Warren, president of SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Ill., is retiring Oct. 6, according to a Mt. Vernon Register-News report.

Mr. Warren worked at the hospital for more than 31 years. He began his career at Good Samaritan in 1986, when he joined as a director. He assumed the president role in 2008, after serving in numerous other leadership roles. Among his accomplishments is helping to oversee the construction of a new facility for Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon that opened in 2013.

Kerry Swanson will take over Mr. Warren’s responsibilities post Oct. 6. She is the regional president of hospital operations for SSM Health-Illinois.
