Southeast Alabama Medical Center names new CEO: 4 things to know

Richard “Rick” O. Sutton has been appointed CEO of Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan and president for the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Sutton.

1. He currently serves as CEO of three Banner Health Northern Colorado Hospitals: North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, McKee Medical Center in Loveland and Banner Fort Collins (Colo.) Medical Center.

2. In his new role, Mr. Sutton has executive oversight for Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine, Southeast Alabama Medical Center Foundation and Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula, Ala.

3. He will begin his job at Southeast Alabama Medical Center May 16.

4. Mr. Sutton will replace Ronald S. Owen, the current CEO of Southeast Alabama Medical Center, who is retiring.
