Dr. Knight became the merged health system’s first president and CEO in 2000. He will assume the role of president of the Scott & White Healthcare Foundation, the system’s philanthropic arm, after leaving his current position.
Dr. Knight will be succeeded by COO and CMO Robert W. Pryor, MD. Dr. Knight and Dr. Pryor will work together for a year to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.
