Sallie Piazza to serve as CNO at Saint Vincent Hospital: 3 points

Erie, Pa.-based Saint Vincent Hospital named Sallie Piazza chief nursing officer, according to The Post-Journal.

Three points:

1. Ms. Piazza, who assumed the role July 1, leads the nursing and clinical staff in the delivery of patient care. She also serves on the executive nursing team at Pittsburgh-based Allegany Health Network, Saint Vincent Hospital’s parent.

2. Ms. Piazza has more than 20 years of experience as a nurse and nurse executive and previously served as Saint Vincent’s medical-surgical division director and the director for education and professional development.

3. Ms. Piazza earned a master’s degree in healthcare management administration from Ashford University in San Diego.
