Livonia, Mich.-based Saint Joseph Mercy Health System and Muskegon, Mich.-based Mercy Health named Kelly Smith chief strategy officer for the state of Michigan.
The organizations, both a part of Livonia-based Trinity Health, merged at the beginning of the year.
Ms. Smith previously served as regional chief strategy officer of West Michigan within the Mercy Health system. She has 25-plus years of healthcare experience.
Ms. Smith earned a master's degree in hospital administration from The Ohio State University in Columbus. She participated in the Leadership Detroit program, an initiative of the Detroit Regional Chamber.
