McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center selects new CEO: 4 things to know

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in Springfield, Ore., named David Elgarico CEO, effective July 30, according to a Register Guard report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Elgarico is currently COO and ethics and compliance officer of Touro Infirmary in New Orleans.

2. He has prior experience serving as COO of HCA Healthcare’s West Houston Medical Center and of HCA’s Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas.

3. He holds a master’s in health administration degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

4. Mr. Elgarico is the permanent successor to Chad Campbell, who left the role in March.
