Here are four things to know about Dr. Tucker.
1. He comes to RWJ from Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, a 328-licensed bed county hospital in Houston, where he was chief administrator.
2. In addition to the chief administrator role, Dr. Tucker also served as executive vice president for the Harris Health System in Houston.
3. Dr. Tucker is a retired lieutenant colonel with 24 years of service in the U.S. Army. He also served as COO of the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, N.C.; CEO and COO of Fox Army Health Center in Redstone Arsenal, Ala.; CEO of Kleber Army Health Clinic in Kaiserslautern, Germany; and COO/CFO of the Army Southeast Regional Dental Command in Fort Gordon, Ga.
4. He has been honored with the American College of Healthcare Executives’ Exemplary Service Award.
