Here are four things to know about Mr. Watts.
1. He most recently was vice president of physician and professional services at St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, Ga.
2. Previously, he also worked for Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta, and prior to Piedmont, served as CEO of Barrow Regional Medical Center in Winder, Ga., and COO of Walton Regional Medical Center in Monroe, Ga.
3. He also previously served in various positions at Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, Ga., and was an administrator and executive officer in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps.
4. Mr. Watts earned master’s degrees in administration and business administration from Georgia Southwestern University in Americus, and his undergraduate degree from Mercer University in Macon.
