Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, N.J., has named Anthony V. Cava chief administrative officer.
Mr. Cava has 30 years of experience in healthcare administration, most recently serving as COO of Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, N.J., an affiliate of Neptune, N.J.-based Meridian Health.
Mr. Cava has also held leadership positions at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J., also an affiliate of Meridian Health; Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, N.J., an affiliate of West Orange, N.J.-based Barnabas Health Care System; and St. Joseph's Wayne (N.J.) Hospital, also an affiliate of Barnabas.
A registered pharmacist, Mr. Cava is a member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, the New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
