Regional Medical Center taps former Tenet VP to serve as CEO: 5 points

Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, S.C., named Charles E. Williams president and CEO, effective Dec. 11.

Here are five points:

1. Mr. Williams most recently served as vice president of performance standards and clinical operations for Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare Corp.

2. His previous experience includes serving as COO at Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake in Dallas and vice president of operations at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas.

3. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he has also served as a member of the University of Texas at Arlington Advisory Board for Master’s Degrees in Healthcare Administration.

4. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

5. He succeeds Tom Dandridge, who was replaced by the hospital’s board of trustees in January.
