Raleigh General Hospital CEO resigns: 3 things to know

David Darden, CEO of Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, W.Va., has resigned, according to a Register-Herald report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Darden.

1. Robert Klein, Central Group COO of the hospital's parent company, Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, told the Register-Herald that Mr. Darden resigned to "pursue other opportunities."

2. Mr. Darden's last day on the job is May 20.

3. Harold Siglar was named interim CEO of RGH, and will take over Mr. Darden's role May 23, Mr. Klein told the Register-Herald. Mr. Siglar most recently was interim CEO of Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, N.C.
