ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital president resigning: 5 things to know

Annette Phillips, president of ProMedica Monroe (Mich.) Regional Hospital, is resigning, according to a Monroe News report.

Here are five things to know about Ms. Phillips.

1. She is expected to leave her post in March.

2. She is leaving her post to explore other career opportunities, according to ProMedica officials.

3. She joined Monroe-based Mercy Memorial Hospital System as president and CEO in 2008. Mercy Memorial Hospital System has since officially joined Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica and changed its name to ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital.

4. During her tenure, Ms. Phillips oversaw a rehabilitation center move, the expansion of cardiology services, orthopedics and other surgical services, and the hospital’s merger with ProMedica, according to the report.

5. Prior to the former Mercy Memorial Hospital System, Ms. Phillips worked at Henry Ford Wyandotte (Mich.) Hospital in a number of positions including COO and CFO.
