Under the agreement, the medical staff at Mercy Memorial will maintain its by-laws and governing structure. The agreement also creates a new board of trustees with “redefined governance authority,” according to the news release.
“ProMedica and Mercy Memorial share a commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience and improving access to superior, convenient healthcare services and community outreach programs,” said Kevin Webb, chief acute care officer at ProMedica. “We look forward to strengthening that commitment to southeastern Michigan in Monroe and the surrounding communities.”
