Prevea Health names Laura Nelson CMO: 3 things to know

Green Bay, Wis.-based Prevea Health has added Laura Nelson, MD, as the organization’s new vice president and CMO—Northern Division.

Dr. Nelson will officially join Prevea Health in late July, and will succeed Karla Roth, MD, who recently returned to her clinical practice caring for Family Medicine patients at the Prevea East De Pere (Wis.) Health Center.

Here are three things to know about Dr. Nelson.

1. In her role, Dr. Nelson will work with associate medical directors, department chairs, physicians and senior managers “to guide patient care and policy direction,” and she will “provide the strategic support needed to ensure a quality of care that meets and exceeds patient expectations,” according to Prevea.

2. Dr. Nelson’s primary office will be in Green Bay, but she will serve communities throughout Northeast Wisconsin extending as far north as Marinette.

3. Prior to joining Prevea Health, Dr. Nelson spent 21 years with Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic where she served in a variety of roles, most recently as Marshfield’s CMO.
