Piedmont Henry Hospital appoints Deborah Armstrong CEO, James Atkins COO: 4 points

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Ga., promoted Deborah Armstrong to CEO and appointed James Atkins COO, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution report.

Here are four points:

1. Ms. Armstrong currently served as the hospital’s COO.

2. She will take on her new role when current CEO Charlie Scott retires, effective Nov. 1.  

3. Mr. Atkins is currently CEO of Rutherfordton, N.C.-based Rutherford Regional Health System.

4. He will join Piedmont Henry Hospital on Nov. 14.
