Penn State Hershey gives interim CNO the position permanently

Judy Himes, MSN, dropped “interim” from her title earlier this month as Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center made her permanent CNO.

Ms. Himes had served as the hospital’s interim CNO since February. She played a large role in Penn State Hershey obtaining its third Magnet designation in August, among other accomplishments.

She has been with the hospital since 2005 served in various roles, including as director of nursing for critical care services and director of nursing for medicine, neuroscience, cancer and orthopedics. Ms. Himes was previously with the Lebanon (Pa.) VA Medical Center.

Ms. Himes earned her BSN from Penn State and MSN from the University of Pittsburgh.
