Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth has appointed Richard “Ric” Magnuson interim executive vice president and CFO, effective June 16.
Mr. Magnuson steps into the role following the planned departure of Darrin Montalvo, PeaceHealth’s executive vice president and chief financial and growth officer, who will leave the health system on July 11. PeaceHealth has initiated a national search for a permanent CFO.
“With Magnuson’s deep expertise and thoughtful leadership, we’re confident in our ability to navigate the complexities of the current healthcare landscape while building a stronger, more sustainable future,” President and CEO Liz Dunne said in a June 16 news release. “This appointment reflects our unwavering commitment to excellence, accountability, and the long-term well-being of the communities we serve.”
Mr. Magnuson most recently served as CFO of Minneapolis-based Allina Health, where he spent 25 cumulative years with the health system. He has also held CFO roles at City of Hope in Duarte, Calif., and other health systems.
He has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
