Norwalk Hospital appoints president: 5 notes

Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital named Peter R. Cordeau, BSN, RN, president.

Here are five notes:

1. Mr. Cordeau most recently served as CEO of Sharon (Conn.) Hospital, leading it through a merger with Lagrangeville, N.Y.-based Health Quest.

2. He was previously chief nursing officer and then COO at Sharon Hospital.

3. He holds an MBA from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn.

4. Danbury, Conn.-based Western Connecticut Health Network, Norfolk Hospital’s parent, is awaiting approval to affiliate with Health Quest.

5. Mr. Cordeau will help align operational and clinical services as the two organizations come together.
