Nevada's state health insurance exchange's executive director resigns

Nevada's Silver State Health Insurance Exchange accepted Executive Director Bruce Gilbert's resignation. He will be moving on to a new position at Cincinnati-based TriHealth.

The state insurance exchanged named Mr. Gilbert executive director in August 2014. During his time at the helm, he developed and executed a communications campaign to bolster the exchange's brand and generated record enrollment growth in exchange-certified health plans.

"Bruce leaves having built a strong team along with securing a stable and very successful position for the exchange. He will be missed and we wish him the best of luck in the future. We look forward to seeing his position filled with someone who puts just as much heart and dedication into the position as he did," said Silver State Health Insurance Exchange Board Chair Florence Jameson, MD, in a statement.

The state of Nevada created the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange in 2011 and it includes Nevada Health Link, an online marketplace.
