Elizabeth Wise, MSN, was appointed executive vice president and COO of Lincoln, Neb.-based Bryan Health, effective Oct. 6, according to a health system news release shared with Becker’s.
Ms. Wise will join Bryan Health after serving as president of Bel Air-based University of Maryland Medical System Upper Chesapeake Health.
In her new role, she succeeds John Woodrich, who plans to retire in January, according to the release.
Bryan Health said Mr. Woodrich will continue to serve as the interim CEO of Bryan Medical Center the remainder of 2025.
Bryan Medical Center is Bryan Health’s 664-bed flagship organization, with two acute care facilities (Bryan East Campus and Bryan West Campus) and outpatient clinics.
